The St. John's Cadets will face off against the Paul VI Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
St. John's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic as they made off with a 19-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cadets.

St. John's let Devyn Johnson and Cameran Corbett run wild. Johnson went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI, while Corbett went 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two triples gave Johnson a new career-high. Yasmin Burrell was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and one double.
St. John's always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Saint John Paul the Great Catholic only posted an OBP of .304.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Paul VI, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over Flint Hill on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the game before.
Elizabeth Sullivan looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Natalie Monroe was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Farrell, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
St. John's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Paul VI, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. St. John's hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .377. However, it's not like Paul VI struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
St. John's suffered a grim 11-5 defeat to Paul VI in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Cadets have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
