Basketball Game Preview: Denver Christian Thunder vs. DSST: Cedar Falcons

The Denver Christian Thunder will square off against the DSST: Cedar Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Saturday, Denver Christian lost to Windsor Charter Academy at home by a 79-60 margin. The loss put an end to the Thunder's undefeated start to the season.

Despite the defeat, Denver Christian got top-tier performance from Jayden Cain, who went 11-for-14 to rack up 25 points and five boards. Cain's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke DeBoer, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, DSST: Cedar had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 75-62 to Windsor Charter Academy on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Denver Christian fell to 2-1. As for DSST: Cedar, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went Denver Christian's way against DSST: Cedar in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as Denver Christian made off with a 71-46 victory. Do the Thunder have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
