Volleyball Recap: Exeter-West Greenwich Takes a Loss

Exeter-West Greenwich was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Achievement First Providence Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 10th.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Achievement First Providence scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 25-20.

AJ Kue was the offensive standout of the match as he had five kills and three digs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (24).

Exeter-West Greenwich's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Achievement First Providence, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Coming up, Exeter-West Greenwich will take on Hope at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Wave will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Scarlet Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Achievement First Providence, they will be playing at home against North Providence at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
