Ramona won the last time they faced Escondido and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 5-1.

Braelyn Bolen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

On the hitting side, Savanna Rhea was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Ramona has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-12-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Escondido, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ramona will take on rival Fallbrook at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Escondido is set to square off against their familiar foe Valley Center at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
