Recap: Carver Collegiate Academy Rams vs. Alexandria Trojans
The Carver Collegiate Academy Rams entered their tilt with the Alexandria Trojans with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Carver Collegiate Academy came out on top against Alexandria by a score of 57-47 on Saturday.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Markel Gaines, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Johnson, who scored 16 points.
Carver Collegiate Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Alexandria, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-8.
Carver Collegiate Academy will head out on the road to take on Abramson at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Abramson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 312th, while Carver Collegiate Academy is ranked 13th). As for Alexandria, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
