Soccer Recap: Westlake Takes a Loss

Westlake lost against Copper Hills back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Thunder fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 4-3. Westlake have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marlee Hunter and Alexia Burk scored all three of Westlake's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Westlake's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Copper Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Westlake will square off against Mountain Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Westlake's defense better be ready for this one: Mountain Ridge have averaged an impressive 2.5 goals per game this season. As for Copper Hills, they will venture away from home to take on Bingham at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
