A Season-Best Performance from Jacob Foot Leads Longmont over Skyline

Longmont was led to victory by Jacob Foot, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Foot picked up 233 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 31 yards. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 71 yards.

Longmont's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6. They and Grand Junction Central are set to duel on Friday.

Kolby Holmes Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, Longmont got the W thanks in part to Kolby Holmes playing the best football he has all season. Holmes threw for 383 yards and six touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes.

Skyline had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Holmes it was a similar story. When Holmes last faced the Falcons back in September of 2023, he threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes, and also rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown.

Servando Morales' Rushing Yards a New Career-High

Servando Morales posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns.

Skyline is on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Falcons faces off against Adams City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Joey Foot Delivers Best Performance of Season

Longmont was led to victory by Joey Foot, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Foot picked up 150 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending a pass.

Skyline had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Foot it was a similar story. Foot picked up 134 receiving yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Falcons duked it out back in September of 2023.

A Season-Best Effort from Darien Jackson Leads Broomfield over Grand Junction Central

On Friday, Broomfield got the W thanks in part to Darien Jackson playing the best football he has all season. Jackson threw for 170 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The performance also marked the most rushing yards (22) he has had since back in November of 2023.

The victory was the third in a row for Broomfield, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Jackson will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Riverdale Ridge on Friday.
