 It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Highland had no problem doing just that  on Thursday. They never let the Griffith Panthers onto the board and left with  a   13-0  victory. That's more bragging rights for Highland, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Kyle Stacy tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out 11 over 4.1 innings pitched.
 At the plate, Highland got a  massive  performance out of  Cash Washick, who  went 2-for-2 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple.  Caden Quigg was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.
 Highland's win bumped their record up to 9-18. As for Griffith,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-15.
 Highland is on the road again  on Saturday to play River Forest at 1:00  p.m. River Forest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8  runs per game  this season. Griffith does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
