Recap: South Bronx Prep Cougars vs. Norview Pilots
The South Bronx Prep Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. Their tough 54-34 loss to Norview might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South Bronx Prep has scored all season.
Kiyah Fitchett was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with seven steals for Norview. The contest was Fitchett's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Taylor Christful was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
South Bronx Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Norview, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3.
South Bronx Prep will head out on the road to face off against Evander Childs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evander Childs will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 355th, while South Bronx Prep is ranked 125th). Norview won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Gainesville at 9:00 p.m. on December 29th. Gainesville will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
