Dos Palos is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Coalinga is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Broncos will host the Horned Toads at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Dos Palos' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over Tranquillity.

Carly Brinkley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Liliana DelaRosa, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Samantha VonAllman, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Dos Palos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .788. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Coalinga made easy work of Mendota on Tuesday and carried off a 13-3 win.
Like Dos Palos, Coalinga also got a great game from a two-way player: Brooklyn Davis. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Davis has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Sophie Walker was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Minayah Singleton was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
Coalinga is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Dos Palos, their win bumped their record up to 14-8-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Dos Palos has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Coalinga struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
