Basketball Game Preview: Rockford Rockets vs. Annandale Cardinals

Rockford hasn't had much luck against Annandale recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rockford Rockets will square off against the Annandale Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. One thing working in Rockford's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.

Rockford took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They took down Watertown-Mayer 58-43. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rockets as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Annandale waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 55-42.

Rockford pushed their record up to 13-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Annandale, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Rockford strolled past Annandale in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 67-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rockford since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
