Football Game Preview: Cold Springs Eagles vs. West End Patriots

Two dominant signal callers in Ayden Black and Jaxon Hamby are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Cold Springs Eagles will look to defend their home field on Friday against the West End Patriots at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cold Springs has three straight victories, West End has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Cold Springs is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Lynn: they outscored them in every quarter. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 36-12 margin over the Bears on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, West End fell victim to Vinemont and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Eagles, falling 28-0. Considering the last time the Patriots couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

West End's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Cold Springs, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Cold Springs strolled past West End in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 26-12. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Patriots' Jackson Mayo, who picked up 198 receiving yards and one TD.
