Basketball Recap: Monroe Central Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Monroe Central had won seven straight home games dating back to last season and Easton Foster did his part to make it eight on Friday. The Monroe Central Golden Bears took their match with ease, bagging a 75-38 win over the Blue River Valley Vikings thanks in part to Foster, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Monroe Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Blue River Valley, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Monroe Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-58 loss against New Castle on the 1st. As for Blue River Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-39 defeat against Union City on the 1st.
