Baseball Recap: Wasilla Warriors vs. Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears
Wasilla and Juneau-Douglas squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Wasilla had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Crimson Bears by a score of 5-4. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crimson Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2019.
LaLo PaLomares was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Bridger Berta, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
This is the second loss in a row for Wasilla and nudges their season record down to 18-7-1. As for Juneau-Douglas, the win got them back to even at 12-12.
