Softball Recap: Flowing Wells Caballeros vs. Buena Colts
Flowing Wells had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 14-17 to make it four. They fell just short of the Buena Colts by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-5 on Tuesday.
Kristen Felix was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Yesenia Solano, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
As for Buena, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-18. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games.
On Buena's side, Ariella Antemann was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Antemann was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
