Basketball Recap: Ropes Takes a Loss

Ropes lost against New Home back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ropes Eagles fell to the New Home Leopards 53-47.

Ropes has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for New Home, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Ropes and New Home should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Ropes (ranked 393rd) will meet Smyer (ranked 1315th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, New Home will take on New Deal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 670 places (258 vs. 928).
