Soccer Game Preview: Field vs. Ravenna

The Field Falcons will square off against the Ravenna Ravens at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Field's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Field is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Marlington just ended the team's seven-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Dukes by a score of 3-2.

Cedric Martin and Ethan Flores-Soler scored both of Field's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ravenna). Everything went their way against Coventry on Tuesday as they made off with a 7-1 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Field's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Ravenna, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-9-1.

Everything went Field's way against Ravenna in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Field made off with an 8-0 win. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ravens turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
