Baseball Recap: Southeast Comes Up Short

Southeast extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Monday, dropping them down to 0-7. They came up short against the Guthrie Bluejays, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bluejays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 on Monday.

As for Guthrie, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5. The result was nothing new for the Bluejays, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Guthrie's part, they got a massive performance out of Maddox Vaughan, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Daelon Rice, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Southeast will take on Grant at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Guthrie, they will head out to challenge Stillwater at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
