There's no place like home for Valley Forge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They skirted past the Brush Arcs 4-2. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 15-13 victory the Arcs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Brandon Beach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up 13 Ks.

At the plate, Valley Forge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Kyle Kalinowski also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

With the win, Valley Forge broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Brush, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Forge will venture away from home to challenge Lorain at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Titans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brush, they will head out on the road to square off against Chardon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
