Football Recap: Goffstown Comes Up Short

Goffstown managed to slip by Merrimack the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Grizzlies were beaten by the Tomahawks 42-14 on Friday. The defeat leaves the Grizzlies still looking for their first win of the season.

Goffstown's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Merrimack, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Coming up, Goffstown will be playing at home against Timberlane at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Merrimack, they will face off against Keene at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tomahawks will be up against the Blackbirds' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.4 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
