Volleyball Recap: Lansing Lions vs. Saint Thomas Aquinas Saints

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lansing couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saint Thomas Aquinas Saints on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Saint Thomas Aquinas was led to victory by Malin Chaput and Addison Smith. Chaput had seven digs and two aces, while Smith had three digs and two assists.

Lansing's loss dropped their record down to 28-10. As for Saint Thomas Aquinas, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 22 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-5 record this season.
