After only seven points in their last contest, Prairie Central made sure to put some points up on the board against Rantoul on Friday. The Hawks blew past the Eagles 40-6. The matchup marked the Hawks' most dominant victory of the season.

Dalton Steidinger went supernova, throwing for 137 yards and four TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 32 yards. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024.

Prairie Central pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.3 points on average over those games. As for Rantoul, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
