There's no place like home for Southwest EC, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Imperial Tigers on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Southwest EC had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-20, 25-23, 25-22.

Bayne Bernal paced Southwest EC's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bernal got some help from Ismael Razo and his 31 assists. Cameron Self controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Southwest EC's victory bumped their record up to 12-19. As for Imperial, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Southwest EC is set to square off against their familiar foe Calexico at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Imperial will challenge rival Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
