Volleyball Recap: Hayden Comes Up Short

Hayden was the 3-2 winner over Grand Valley when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Kiera Faucett paced Hayden's offense, picking up five kills. Faucett got some help from Ella Harris and her eight assists. Harris was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Among those leading the charge was Estrella Valdez-Hinojosa, who had 12 digs.

Hayden's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Grand Valley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Hayden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against De Beque on the 23rd. As for Grand Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Rangely on the 23rd.
