Flag Football Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Telfair County

Telfair County's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They never let the Appling County Pirates get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory.

Telfair County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Trynitee Newson led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one interception the last three times she's played.

Telfair County pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Telfair County is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Hawkinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Appling County, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-7 victory against Valdosta on the 4th.
