Lakeside School had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Hope Christian Academy on Saturday. The Chiefs were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over Hope Christian Academy. Considering the Chiefs have won 28 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Boston Brown made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyler Mark Bullock, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Lakeside School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Evangel Christian posted their closest win since February 24th on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Coosa Valley Academy, sneaking past 7-5. The victory continues a trend for the Lightning in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won six in a row.

Both Lakeside School and Evangel Christian just can't seem to miss. The Chiefs have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.5 hits per game.
