Basketball Recap: Fluvanna County Comes Up Short

Fluvanna County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 58-37 to the Monticello Mustangs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Flying Flucos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-44 back in December of 2024.

Fluvanna County's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Monticello, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Western Albemarle the next time they take the court. Monticello will host Western Albemarle at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Fluvanna County will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
