Volleyball Game Preview: Hudson Explorers vs. St. Ignatius Wildcats

The Hudson Explorers will face off against the St. Ignatius Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Hudson sitting on six straight victories and St. Ignatius on 14.

Hudson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out St. Edward 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Explorers have posted since March 19th.

Meanwhile, St. Ignatius made easy work of Stow-Munroe Falls on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

St. Ignatius never let Stow-Munroe Falls on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-14, 25-21.

St. Ignatius' win bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Hudson, their victory bumped their record up to 19-5.

Hudson couldn't quite get it done against St. Ignatius in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 3-1. Can the Explorers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
