Softball Recap: Quincy Comes Up Short

Quincy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sand Creek Aggies.

Quincy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miley Poindexter, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. That double marked the first that Poindexter has hit this season.

Quincy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sand Creek, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quincy will take on Stockbridge at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sand Creek, they will square off against Blissfield at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
