Volleyball Recap: Brenham Comes Up Short

Brenham lost against Lake Creek on October 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Brenham Cubs lost 3-0 to the Lake Creek Lions. The Cubs haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Brenham was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 19 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-19.

Aubrey Morrison paced Brenham's offense, picking up ten kills. Morrison got some help from Brinley Benson and her 17 assists. Benson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Kennedy Schramm was the offensive standout of the game as she had 16 digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

Brenham's defeat dropped their record down to 26-22. As for Lake Creek, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 32-13.
