Football Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Atlantic Trojans, falling 49-7. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Trojans are ranked 97th).

Ian Fisher threw for 66 yards and one touchdown. Phillip Gray was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Nadir Ouahbi rushed for 37 yards.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Atlantic, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Perry is set to take on their familiar foe Harlan at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Atlantic will face off against rival Greene County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
