Basketball Recap: Athens Comes Up Short

Athens lost against Climax-Scotts back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Athens Indians had to suffer through a 70-28 loss at the hands of the Climax-Scotts Panthers. The Indians' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Athens' record now sits at 2-8. As for Climax-Scotts, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8.

Athens has already played their next game, a 69-22 loss against St. Philip Catholic Central on the 25th. As for Climax-Scotts, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-38 defeat against Bellevue on the 25th.
