Asheville Christian Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the GRACE Christian Eagles by a score of 2-0 on Friday. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Leading Asheville Christian Academy to victory were Caroline Simpson and Rachel Bass. Simpson had 18 assists and three aces, while Bass had ten digs. Those three aces gave Simpson a new career-high.

Asheville Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Calvary Day School on the 8th. GRACE Christian has also already played their next contest (against Coastal Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
