Soccer Recap: Fort Mill Comes Up Short

Fort Mill fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Catawba Ridge on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Copperheads by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Catawba Ridge this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-2 back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Fort Mill and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Catawba Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That lines up perfectly with their 12-4 record this season.

Fort Mill will head out to square off against Clover at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Catawba Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Catawba Ridge are facing Northwestern at the right time seeing as Northwestern are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
