Winneconne proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 23) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Xavier Hawks 8-6. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Hawks back in March, they had to take a 5-3 loss.
Julia Youngbauer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Winneconne let Aubrey Mitchell and Grace Mitchell run wild.
