Volleyball Game Preview: Espanola Valley Sundevils vs. Robertson Cardinals

The Espanola Valley Sundevils will face off against the Robertson Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Espanola Valley will be strutting in after a win while Robertson will be coming in after a loss.

Espanola Valley barely beat Grants the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Sundevils were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pirates on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Sundevils as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Espanola Valley not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Grants between 15 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-16.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Robertson faced off against Taos on Saturday. The Cardinals fell 3-1 to the Tigers. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Robertson ultimately came up short, they really made Taos work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 22-25, 27-25, 25-14.

Robertson's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Espanola Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
