Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edisto). Everything went their way against the Lake Marion Gators on Friday as they made off with a 33-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won five games by 15 runs or more so far this season.

Tristan Fogle was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kamara Chavis, who scored five runs and stole five bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Edisto was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory made it two in a row for Edisto and bumps their season record up to 6-7. As for Lake Marion, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Branchville at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
