Volleyball Recap: Megan Hartley and Callie Baker Secure Win for Utica

Utica won the last time they faced Mt. Vernon and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Redskins came out on top against the Yellowjackets by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redskins.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 18-25, 25-11, 25-16.

Utica was led to victory by Callie Baker and Megan Hartley. Baker had 18 digs, while Hartley had 11 digs. That's the most digs Baker has posted since back in August of 2024.

Callie Swanson and Addison Komitau certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Swanson had 17 assists and three digs, while Komitau had 21 assists and eight digs. Swanson is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Utica's record is now 16-3. As for Mt. Vernon, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Utica didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Newark Catholic on the 2nd. As for Mt. Vernon, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Zanesville on the 2nd.
