Volleyball Recap: West Jefferson Comes Up Short

West Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the John Ehret Patriots, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Buccaneers have suffered against the Patriots since October 20, 2015.

West Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for John Ehret, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

West Jefferson and John Ehret could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. The Buccaneers (ranked 218th) will meet Archbishop Chapelle (ranked 27th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, John Ehret will face off against St. Mary's Dominican at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (91 vs. 1).
