Basketball Recap: Franklin-Simpson Makes It 15 in a Row on the Road

Franklin-Simpson had won 14 straight road games dating back to last season and Reesha Cawthorn did her part to make it 15 on Friday. The Franklin-Simpson Wildcats blew past the Logan County Cougars 63-39 thanks in part to Cawthorn, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Jasmine Savage, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 15 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Franklin-Simpson's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Logan County, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-6.

Franklin-Simpson will take on Todd County Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Logan County, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Logan County Cougars face off against the Edmonson County Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
