Baseball Recap: Mount Everett Regional Wins Going Away Against Franklin County Tech

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Mount Everett Regional blew past Franklin County Tech 7-1. Mount Everett Regional hasn't had any issues with Franklin County Tech recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Matt Lowe made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Mount Everett Regional is undefeated when Lowe allows one or fewer earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Lowe was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jacob Kreis was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Trevor Leonard was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI.

Mount Everett Regional's record now sits at 7-4. As for Franklin County Tech, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Everett Regional will challenge McCann Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin County Tech, they will face off against Mahar Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
