The Madison-Grant Argylls are taking a road trip to challenge the Daleville Broncos at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Madison-Grant is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.
Madison-Grant is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Delphi Community with a sharp 19-4 win on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Argylls.
Xavier Yeagy made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Yeagy was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Madison-Grant got a massive performance out of Brayson Martin, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four hits gave Martin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tripp Haisley, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Madison-Grant always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .703. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Daleville put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Elwood as they made off with an 8-2 victory.
Tripp Pitts tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.
On the hitting side, Caleb Aikin was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Aikin is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Colvin, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Madison-Grant pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Daleville, their record now sits at 4-0.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Madison-Grant has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Daleville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 11 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Madison-Grant skirted past Daleville 2-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Argylls since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
