Basketball Game Preview: Orem Tigers vs. Uintah Utes

Orem is 2-7 against Uintah since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Orem Tigers will be playing at home against the Uintah Utes at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

It was a proper cat-fight when Orem challenged Payson on Tuesday. Orem was outmatched by Payson and fell 66-24. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Lions are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, Uintah came up short against Mountain View on Tuesday and fell 52-40. The defeat continues a trend for the Utes in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now lost five in a row.

Uintah now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Orem, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
