Baseball Recap: Ellicottville Comes Up Short

Portville hit Ellicottville with a five-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Panthers, falling 15-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 on Monday.

Ellicottville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Myers, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Ellicottville and nudges their season record down to 6-8. As for Portville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Ellicottville will take on Randolph at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Portville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
