Soccer Recap: Little Elm Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Guyer

Little Elm was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They won by a goal and slipped past the Guyer Wildcats 3-2. The win was all the more spectacular given the Lobos' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 536th, while the Wildcats are ranked 122nd).

Little Elm's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3-1 and their overall record up to 2-7-3. As for Guyer, they now have a losing record at 4-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Little Elm will challenge Marcus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Little Elm's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Guyer, they will face off against Lewisville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
