Football Recap: Twin Falls Comes Up Short at Home Against Sandpoint

Twin Falls unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 28-27 to the Sandpoint Bulldogs. The Bruins were up 21-7 in the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Although Twin Falls took the loss, they still got scores from Ty Hess, Adam Neil Dewit, and Brogan Bruns.

Sandpoint can attribute much of their success to Braden Buckhout, who rushed for 46 yards and one score, and also threw for 212 yards on 19 of 27 attempts. Those 46 rushing yards gave Buckhout a new career-high.

Coming up, Twin Falls will host Vallivue at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sandpoint, they will square off against Teton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
