Basketball Game Preview: Episcopal Maroon vs. St. Albans Bulldogs

The Episcopal Maroon will head out to square off against the St. Albans Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Episcopal is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They fell 68-56 to St. Stephen's & St. Agnes.

Meanwhile, St. Albans was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 79-61 fall against Sandy Spring Friends.

Episcopal will have to contain Jaylen Wills as he made an impact in St. Albans' last game. He almost dropped a double-double with 28 points and nine assists. Those nine assists gave Wills a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Xavier Wigglesworth, who posted six points.

St. Albans' defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Episcopal skirted past St. Albans 86-83 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Episcopal since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
