Preview: Rhinelander Hodags vs. Medford Raiders
Rhinelander is 1-9 against the Raiders since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Rhinelander Hodags will head out on the road to face off against the Medford Raiders at 7:15 p.m. One thing working in Rhinelander's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
Last Tuesday, Rhinelander was able to grind out a solid win over the Bluejays, taking the game 64-51.
Meanwhile, Medford came up short against the Warriors on Tuesday and fell 56-45. While losing is never fun, Medford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Warriors are ranked 101st).
Rhinelander is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Medford, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-9.
Rhinelander suffered a grim 64-42 defeat to the Raiders in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Rhinelander avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
