Basketball Recap: Ridgevue Warhawks vs. Capital Golden Eagles
Ridgevue had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 0-6 to make it six. They took a blow against the Capital Golden Eagles, falling 67-11. The Warhawks lost against the Golden Eagles in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 62-50 score last time.
As for Capital, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.
Capital found their leader in freshman Amiyah Orelus, who shot 78% from the field to rack up 16 points along with six assists and six boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Orelus has scored all season. Miriam Stafford was another key player, putting up eight points.
