Soccer Recap: Bolingbrook Comes Up Short

Bolingbrook managed to keep up with Plainfield South until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Raiders came up short against the Cougars, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bolingbrook of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Bolingbrook has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12-3 record this season. As for Plainfield South, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8-1.

Bolingbrook and Plainfield South could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Raiders will challenge Joliet West at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (206 vs. 74). Meanwhile, Plainfield South (ranked 204th) will meet Minooka (ranked 51st) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
